Rubber Bonding

Rubber to Metal

Rubber to Metal Bonding

Rubber to metal bonding this procedure is normally done by transfer moulding. The metals are prepared for moulding by degreasing the surface to be bonded to and then shot blasted and painting with the applicable bonding agent.

The metals are then placed into the cavity of the mould before the rubber is placed into the transfer pot to be injected into the cavity to fill the void around the metal and the cavity. Once cured the parts are removed and cooled down before being checked for good adhesion.

Rubber to Plastic Bonding

Rubber to plastic bonding this procedure is normally done by transfer moulding. The plastics are prepared for moulding by degreasing the surface to be bonded to and then shot blasted and painting with the applicable bonding agent.

The plastics are then placed into the cavity of the mould before the rubber is placed into the transfer pot to be injected into the cavity to fill the void around the plastic and the cavity. Once cured the parts are removed and cooled down before being checked for good adhesion.
